I am retired. I started writing in 2019 as something instead of the television. I have a background in Business and Engineering and have done over 20 years active and reserve in the military. I am into reading, music, archeology, and a dozen other things. I have tried to use my experience and education to add things of interest to the books I am writing. This has turned into a whole set of books. It is fun and my reading audience seems to like the books so far except maybe my editing.
I will say this whole exercise is a hobby. I am writing for my own enjoyment, I needed to put the writing somewhere and Kindle was the easiest once I sort of figured it out. I will continue to try to clean up the ebook versions. I have been slow putting out the paperbacks, because once printed I have trouble correcting any typos that show up. In the 1960s, I looked seriously at being a journalist and working for a newspaper. My first round in college I was an English and Chemistry double major. In the military is was all technical and took me in a different direction more computers, engineering, and business. After that it was all technical. When I retired, I looked around for something to fill my days that I enjoyed. An email and challenge in 2019 got me going writing.
I get an idea about a story, lay out several pages of notes, then start and let the story happen. My wife has asked me where a story is going. I tell her my fingers have not written it yet, I will let her know.
