In November of 2019 I was challenged to write a book. I did. Some folks found it interesting. So I kept writing for good or bad. I have created some universes; some in space; some here on good old earth; and some in a fantasy world. There are several real people that I have referenced. I think I have tried to do a good job of painting them as good real people. The rest of the characters have come from my imagination. I have used a few of my relatives and friends names, but I ask first and some found it funny, but okay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have used the Royal Family in the UK. What I have seen I like them in general, so the stories they are in are positive and I think adds a little real world tie. The Queen and now King Charles. William, Kate, and their kids add a touch of connection. A few others are referred to but only in passing. I see these people as hard working people that try to do right. They were born into the job. They have two choices in life. Do the job until death or quit. Not many have taken the second choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I mentioned the coach at Duke without giving his name. It was his role in the lives of many that I tried to show. Again always in the positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am putting up this website so anyone so inclined can explore the various books and series I have set my muse toward. I am still working on the craft of writing and know I have to work on my editing. I am not doing this as a career but a hobby. I will try to mark each book published, where and the format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stories about Space<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The first series was about Porter and Mary Kate<\/strong>. ( 7 books) A young couple that were very smart and had been in competition with each other since diapers. Their saga is several books long and was my first attempt back in writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All of the books are on Kindle books. I found the idea interesting an the couple of kids get in the middle of the cold war. A lot of people try to mess up his life but with his from kindergarten girlfriend then wife. they try to survive the Vietnam Era, but make a lot of music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Young Men, the Draft, and the War<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have a series I am working on that has me doing a lot of studying. It is about Young men who are caught up in the draft and the War in Vietnam. They each have their own story and find their direction in life. The series for the most part revolve around they like to play golf. And worked with others that came home with issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Storm Girl Series<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To keep from being bored Elizabeth Angela Grimes aka Angie joins a communication club at school and becomes a student disc jockey that loves to study the weather. The team of smart kids and the Air Force weather team have to solve the problem<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seeing Shadows<\/strong> Book 2 in the the Storm Girl Military Series (In Design)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n A couple of middle eastern groups have developed a sub that is not detectable. With the help of Navy Seals and new sensors in the weather buoys the team is able to detect the sub and works to take it down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Listening Noises<\/strong> Book 3 in the the Storm Girl Military Series (In Design)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sometimes things get hidden in the noise. The Military team knows it is there, they just have to clear the noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other Ideas I am playing with<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have four others about younger people and their lives around middle school age range to coming of age (4 books in the works) I am working on the total story and staying in the language range for that age group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I have outlined books for several of the supporting characters in the different series. If I write 6 hours a day, I expect I have enough outlined for about three years of writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As an example, in the ROVER<\/strong> series the children books that Henry and LW wrote I outlined stories. In the Journey <\/strong>series, Sarah’s backstory and her growing up until she meets Josh, the stories mentioned about the rocks, I have outlined. They will require a good deal of anthropology, archeology, and geophysics study to write them with a good base so several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the In Broad Daylight<\/strong> series, there are several characters I have written pages of backstory for that may turn into their own stories, I expect Robert, Opal and her tea shop, Hampton, maybe a stand alone series about the spares who became not spares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are around 25 books published on Kindle E-books. I expect I will have another 6 out there by some time in the near future. (I have slipped a little, grand kids and golf got me unfocused, a round of covid, etc.) . I have not turned on many of the paperback versions. I am still going through a bunch of editing. I probably won’t get them perfect but I am enjoying the writing the stories where the editing is too much like work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The pictures helped me tell the stories. whether it was a space adventure or a journey across the land or an old castle we visited on our trip to Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n The stories are set in the future in space, in the world of fantasy and magic, or here on earth. There are a lot of things to write and imagine. I have tried a little in all three areas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n I guess the main thing is the desire to write a story that a young person could see themselves in with study and work. All my characters are smart. They all have a good work ethic.
